Shipping and Return Policy

Production Time:

Standard size hardware and barn doors in stock, ready to delivery or pick up.

The lead time of the door can vary depending on a number of factors, including the type of door, the materials used, the complexity of the design, and the production schedule of our manufacturing. 

Standard door made from timber or composite materials, the lead time is typically around 2-4 weeks. This includes the time of manufacturing and packaging. We do have doors in-stock and ready for dispatch/pick up in 5-7 working days. 

Lead time of custom-made doors can be longer, usually up to 8 weeks or more, depending on the complexity of the design and the availability of the materials.

It’s important to note that lead times can also be affected by external factors such as supply chain disruptions or manufacturing delays, which can cause delays in production and delivery. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to check with the manufacturer or supplier for the most up-to-date information on lead times.

The average transit time is 3-5 working days, however transit time may vary due to the suburbs. For local picking up orders, We will keep you updated, and inform you as soon as the order is ready for collection. We do our best to keep these lead times but these are approximate and not guaranteed.

Shipping Methods:

Shipping includes Hunter express, Auspost, local courier and etc.

Please do not schedule the installation for your door/hardware until it has arrived. If your door is shipped via freight, the freight company will inform you prior to delivery.

Shipping addresses:

All carriers require a physical delivery address and a contact number.

Contact us immediately after placing an order if you need to make a change.

Confirmations:

Sales order confirmations are emailed on every order. If you find a discrepancy, please notify us immediately at 1300 130 999.

Changes or cancelling an orders:

Change or cancellation of order must be made with in one business day of placing your order. Changes made after the business day period will incur a 20% of the total order amount as the restock fee. Orders will begin to process immediately once placed. 99% of our items are made to order.

Delivery Inspection:
Upon delivery, if there are damage to hardware/door packages , please inform Ideal barn door immediately regarding the damage or refuse the delivery with the driver. Claims will not be accepted without doing so. Please open and inspect your packages thoroughly for any missing or incorrectly shipped items which must be reported to us within 7 days of receipt.

Shipping damage:

The damages must be reported to the shipping company driver and to us immediately as mentioned above in Delivery Inspection. Replacement orders for damaged goods are given priority.

30-Day return policy for Hardware:
Eligible returns must be requested within 30 days of receiving the order  excluding damages and defects. And returns include kits in a standard finish. All other special or custom order are considered custom and non-returnable. 20% re-stock fee plus return shipping will apply on all eligible returns.
You must return the hardware in new condition, with no damages. Once your returned hardware is received into our warehouse, you will be given a refund within 10 business days.

30-Day return policy for Doors:
In order to ensure the quality of the door, please hang as soon as possible after receiving it.
If you can’t install the door in time. Please placement in correct, and stain or paint as soon as possible to prevent warpage.
You must return the doors in new condition, with no damages.
